Emergence
At long last I managed to observe the emergence of a Broad Bodied Chaser. I have strategically placed reeds around the pond in the places where it would be ideal to set up a tripod and have decent light, did they use those? No chance, the worst position for photography by far. Anyway this completes the circle from egg laying to flight, I have now seen all the stages in our own pond - highly rewarding. Not the best photographs but we aim to improve as the "summer"??? continues.
..........well it was a typical 2012 summer day - cloudy, cool , wet, windy and very little sunshine. Would you want to fly in that?
